Broncos release former Super Bowl champion WR

The Broncos ‘ official squad was released on Friday, leaving the group with the responsibility of moving two players off their roster until the 90-man season cap. The team has complied, cutting two suffered soldiers.

According to Parker Gabriel and Mike Klis from 9News and the Denver Post, Denver made known their respective discharges to wide receiver Phillip Dorsett and defensive player Rashard Lawrence.

Following the release of the original 53-man lineups by the Broncos in August, Dorsett joined the team on a practice squad. In 2023, the Raiders ‘ 53-man squad, which the former first-round pick did not make, had two games in which he played and caught one pass. The Broncos were Dorsett’s sixth NFL group. The nine- time senior turned 31 earlier this season.

Dorsett’s best NFL viewings came in Indianapolis and New England. Jacoby Brissett joined the Patriots in a summer 2017 deal that marked the signing of the 2015 first-rounder, who had a career high of 528 receiving yards. Since then, he has n’t come even 100 yards away from that total. With Houston in 2022, the Miami student caught 20 catches for 257 feet.

Lawrence, 25, has been with five groups since August 2023. The former Cardinals ‘ fourth-round pick, who started 13 games with his original team from 2020 to 22, became familiar with the Dolphins ‘ practice squad last year but did not make Arizona’s first Jonathan Gannon-run roster. The Bengals and Texans ‘ car teams then he retreated. The Broncos gave him a reserve/futures agreement in January.
