Evan Bouchard OT goal gives Oilers Game 2 win over Canucks

Vancouver Canucks defeated Edmonton Oilers 4-3 on Friday evening to complete their second-round playoff series, which was tied at one match at one game.

Mattias Ekholm also scored for the Oilers, Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid each contributing a purpose and three help. Stuart Skinner finished with 16 saves.

Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser also scored for the Canadians, Nikita Zadorov, who also had a goal and an aid. Arturs Silovs made 27 saves.

Game 3 in the best- of- seven line is Sunday in Edmonton.

Bouchard scored the winning shot with a close-range shot that fluttered earlier Silovs in the extra period.

McDavid used his speed to tie the score 3- 3 at 5: 27 of the second. For his second postseason aim, the aristocracy center picked up a contested ball in the natural zone, raced down the ice back of two Canucks defensemen, and fired a shot past Silovs’ blocker.

Edmonton forced itself to accept overtime after hemming Vancouver into its own finish for prolonged stretches and outshooting the home side 15-to-2 later in the third period.
