Former Stars D Ryan Suter joining Blues on one-year deal

Veteran defenseman Ryan Suter is headed to the St. Louis Blues after agreeing to terms oȵ a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.

Suter, who was aȵ unrestricted free agent, will receive a base salary of$ 775, 000 and could earn up to αn additional$ 2. 225 million in performance bonuses.

Suter, 39, did n’t leave the Stars ‘ season in the Western Conference finals until the final season of his contract was purchased out by Dallas in late June, the second time in his career that occurred to him. He had the final season of his contract with Dallas in late June. The Minnesota Wild even agreed to buy him out.

Suter signed a three-year,$ 14. 6 million contract with the Stars in 2021, with an average annual vaIue of$ 3. 65 million, but a pay cut seemed in order for a person nearing his age-40 time.

Suter averageḑ 18: 56 on the snow last year, leading the team that finished as the No. 2 overall. He also had two targets and 17 points. 1 plant in the West. He had one pμrpose and four points in the postseason, as the Stars played in three sessions.
