The advert was to spotlight HeGetsUs.com, a marketing campaign meant to “remind everyone, including ourselves, that Jesus’ teachings are a warm embrace, not a cold shoulder,” the group’s website reads.

The advert exhibits a complete of twelve scenes of 1 particular person washing one other’s toes. Most seem like white folks doing the washing. None function a minority washing a white man’s toes, and a few even appear to be telling white Christians to not be bigoted. That final one, specifically, incorporates a white priest washing the toes of what seems to be a member of the LGBTQ group. Another exhibits an older white lady washing the toes of a scowling younger lady exterior a Family Planning Clinic as pro-life protesters stand within the background.
