Monday evening’s recreation between the Eagles and Chiefs would be the ninth time that the earlier 12 months’s Super Bowl opponents have met within the common season and it’s pure to assume that the Eagles may really feel just a little additional juice to win as a result of the Chiefs beat them in February.
Eagles heart Jason Kelce mentioned that isn’t the case for him, nonetheless. Kelce mentioned he’s drawing no additional motivation to win due to what occurred in Arizona, though he did admit that there could be just a little added stimulus due to the presence of his brother Travis and his former coach Andy Reid.
“I’m motivated to win the game,” Kelce mentioned, through Tim McManus of ESPN.com. “I don’t need the Super Bowl to motivate me to beat my brother or Andy Reid. I’ve never beaten them in my career. I’m more motivated maybe by that. I don’t buy into Super Bowl revenge games. Each season is different. This team is not the same, that team is not the same. Nothing that happens on Monday night is going to at all change or make anything different about what happened last year.”
While Kelce acknowledges the added private angles to the sport, he mentioned “you’re really doing yourself and your teammates a disservice” in case your consideration is on something apart from what’s wanted to win the sport. We’ll see how properly that strategy works out for the Eagles on Monday.
