Mets balm Drew Smith received a right elbow tear on Wednesday, an unfortunate omission for the New York bullpen, who is currently without suspended closer Edwin Daz.

The Mets made the announcement about 40 minutes before the first ball of their Subway Series game against the New York Yankees at Citi Field that right-hander Ty Adcock had been called from Triple-A Syracuse to take Smith on the roster.

The action was made to go back to Moȵday.

Smith is 1- 1 with a 3. 06 ERA and two saves in 19 looks this year. Due to straight back pain, he was on the IL from April 24 through June 1.

The 30-year-old right-hander made his big league album with ƫhe Mets in 2018 and is the team’s longest-serving cup.

Adcock wanted to make his Mets comeback. He made his major league debut with Seattle next year, and he logged a 3. 45 ERA in 12 starts and 15 2/3 innings overall.
