Trail Blazers’ Shaedon Sharpe undergoes abdomen surgery


Shaedon Sharpe, a shield for the Portland Trail Blazers, underwent successful surgery on Friday to treat his main muscle injury, and he will be evaluated again in six months.

Sharpe, 20, has n’t played since the Oklahoma City Thunder‘s 139-77 loss to them on January 11 when he suffered a lower abdominal strain. It was decided that he would have operation after a lack of development in his recovery.

This season, Sharpe has played 32 games ( 25 starts ), averaging 15. 9 points, 5. 0 rebounds, and 2. 9 assists in 33. 1 minutes. He was the seventh overall pick of the 2022 draft and has played in 112 career games ( 40 starts ), averaging 11. 6 points, 2. 6 rebounds, and 1. 7 assists.
