United flight headed for San Francisco returns to German airport over toilet leaking waste

“On Friday, March 29, United Flight 59 returned to Frankfurt following a maintenance issue with one of the aircraft’s lavatories,” a spokesperson for United Airlines instructed the U.S. Sun.

Passengers aboard the flight had been provided lodge rooms for the evening and rebooked on different flights the next day, the spokesperson mentioned.

United Airlines has had a number of chaotic incidents on their flights in current weeks.

On Friday, a number of passengers on a flight from Israel to Newark had been hospitalized after the plane, a Boeing 777-20, was pressured to divert to New York’s Stewart International Airport due to excessive winds.

Earlier in March, a flight heading to San Francisco was pressured to return to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport in Australia over what the airline referred to as a “maintenance issue.” Video captured by an aviation fanatic appeared to present fluid leaking from the wheel space of the Boeing 777-300 throughout takeoff. The aircraft was greeted on the tarmac by fireplace crews when it arrived again in Sydney.
