Couple Arrested After Baby Overdoses on Fentanyl in Georgia

A pair is dealing with baby cruelty prices after a 9-month-old child overdosed on fentanyl in Georgia. 

The baby’s mom, Rosa Solis-Garcia, 37, informed deputies on Saturday that her son stopped crawling and his lips started to show blue and his pores and skin turned pale after he performed with a $20 invoice she had beneath her pillow, according to WRDW, an area information outlet.

Garcia’s boyfriend, Thomas Wright, 41, arrived and started CPR whereas she known as 911, the report states. 

“EMS workers arrived and administered Narcan to the boy and took him to Augusta University Medical Center where he tested positive for fentanyl,” according to WSB-TV, one other native outlet. 

Garcia informed deputies that she thinks the $20 invoice might need had one thing on it that induced her son to turn into sick, in line with the report.

An arrest warrant obtained by the outlet states that Wright admitted to utilizing narcotics inside the house. Garcia can also be accused of getting fentanyl with a lower straw in her purse whereas her son was in her care.

The warrant states that the pair allegedly allowed to play with contaminated cash, “which led to the boy ingesting the narcotic,” in line with the report.

“Both are charged with cruelty to children in the second degree, and Garcia also has a hold for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to inmate bookings,” the report states.
