Padres’ Manny Machado, Mike Shildt ejected from game vs. Mets

After the All-Star made a called third attack, San Diego’s Manny Machado and director Mike Schildt were forced to pitch in the sixth round of Sunday’s game against the New York Mets.

With San Diego leading 7-2, the tray judge called out Machado on a low-adjusted full-count bait from Adrian Houser.

Machado slammed his pitcher in anger, turned, said something to Beck and was ejected. Shildt was even tossed as well as being thrown out of the bullpen.

The Mets won their second game in a row by defeating the Padres 11-6.

” Checked swing early does n’t go your way, borderline pitch does n’t go your way”, Shildt said. ” We have n’t had the results we want at the end of the day on the scoreboard. That can add up, while also. But, yeah, there’s some disappointment it, but bottom line is we got to be better”.

It was the 11th job detonation for Machado and the 13th for Shildt, his second this year.
