Patriots sign TE Mitchell Wilcox


Late last year, the Patriots drafted three small ends. They signed one of them Monday.

Mitchell Wilcox has been added as a complimentary agent, according to the group. Sean McKeon and Brycen Hopkins were also on the team.

Wilcox, 27, spent four months with the Bengals after signing as an undrafted free agent. He has spent the last three months playing for them.

Wilcox finished with nine receptions for 56 yards in all 17 games in 2023. He appeared in all 17 game with four activities. He saw behavior on 230 unpleasant catches and 316 on special teams.

He has played 48 activities with nine begins the previous three months after spending the majority of his freshman season on the practice squad and missing a regular-season activity. Wilcox has caught 29 catches for 21 miles and one touchdown.

He even has played seven playoff game, adding two receptions for 29 feet.

Wilcox joins Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper and La’Michael Pettway at the place on New England’s lineup.
