Texas Woman Clinging to Life in ICU After Deadly Hit-and-Run

A younger lady stays on a ventilator in the ICU after a lethal hit-and-run automotive crash occurred in Dallas, Texas, on February 11, which claimed the lifetime of her buddy.

The incident occurred as 23-year-old Camryn Herriage, a current graduate of Texas Tech University, was in a car together with her school roommate and three different associates, Fox 4 reported Friday.

The group was ready at a light-weight on Beckley Avenue when a pickup truck hit the rear of their car ensuing in a series response crash.

Law enforcement arrested the motive force accused in the incident. She allegedly fled the scene on foot when the wreck occurred.

The victims in the crash have been taken to an area hospital for therapy, however Herriage’s roommate, a younger lady recognized as Sara House, died in the crash.

As of Sunday afternoon, a GoFundMe web page created to assist the House household has raised $35,497 of its $18,000 aim.

The Fox report continued:

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, witnesses referred to as 911 stating a girl exited the motive force’s facet of the truck “wearing a small black dress and white clubbing shoes. The woman also appeared to be extremely intoxicated.”

That lady who took off from the scene on foot was later recognized by police as 27-year-old Carmen Guerrero. Detectives situated Guerrero’s pockets in the deserted truck and took her into custody final week, 11 days after the crash.

The suspect, who’s being held behind bars, is going through prices that embrace manslaughter and aggravated assault with a lethal weapon.

“Now, in the hospital and dependent on a ventilator, Camryn’s journey ahead is uncertain and challenging. After 14 days in the ICU, 4 surgeries, and multiple procedures, Camryn continues to persevere. She still faces at least 2 more surgeries and months left in the ICU,” a GoFundMe web page arrange to assist Herriage’s household reads.

As of Sunday afternoon, that web page has raised $26,451 of its $30,000 aim.

Social media customers shared their properly needs for the younger lady, one individual writing, “We’ve been praying for her on our prayer call. She’s friends with someone on there . We believe in her healing.”
