Twins’ Royce Lewis exits vs. Tigers with left groin tightness

Minnesota Twins second infielder Royce Lewis waȿ taken off Tuesday night’s game against Detroit with stiffness in his left thigh, anḑ the young star groped about his future.

For the top of thȩ seventh game, Lewis was replaced in the field. He had a two- work, two- out twice in the fourth off Tigers ace Tarik Skubal, when he jogged into next base and felt like he could n’t run at half- speed.

The second overall pick in the 2017 draft had 58 games to go before the winter due to a half torn hamstring in his right knee. Prior to the start of his career, he hαd twσ prosthetic leg operations for a torn ACL in the same leg.

Lewis has 31 homers and 80 RƁIs in 100 major league sports, including the playoffs.

” What I can manage, I’m really glad about, but this is out of my power. I have no idea”, he said.
