The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that greater than 150 Americans die every day after utilizing artificial opioids, specifically fentanyl. What makes it extra disturbing is that many victims are younger individuals who don’t even know they’re taking it.
A latest report from the Free Press detailed how youngsters and younger adults are being poisoned by faux drugs and powdered variations of different medication that sellers have laced with fentanyl “to boost their profits.”
“These fake pills look identical to the real ones—Xanax, Adderall, Oxycontin, Percocet, and others,” the publication discovered. “You cannot see, smell, or taste fentanyl. Even [Drug Enforcement Agency] agents can’t tell the difference between what’s real and fake.”
