Tesla, Inc. , owned by CEO Elon Musk, has filed a lawsuit in India against an American power company called Tesla Power over reported trademark infringement.
Tesla, Inc. , a company that is owned by Musk, sent a cease-and-desist text to Tesla Power India, headquartered in Gurgaon, two years ago, which also has a global company in Delaware as Tesla Power USA, but the company continued to use its title in a reading at the Delhi High Court this year. Tesla, Inc. is likewise incorporated in Delaware.
Tesla Power India claimed at the hearing that it does n’t intend to enter the EV sector and only produces “lead acid batteries” rather than batteries for electric vehicles.
