If Israel Goes Into Rafah’s Population Centers, I’ll Halt Weapons Used ‘To Deal With That Problem’ — It’s ‘Wrong’

President Joe Biden stated in an interview with CNN that was scheduled to air on Wednesday’s” Out Front” and that he would not provide them with the weapons that have historically been used to combat Rafah, deal with the cities, and deal with the problem. And that he has “made it clear to Bibi and the War Cabinet, they wo n’t get our support if, in fact, they go into these population centers,” despite the fact that Israel will still receive supplies for the Iron Dome and to give them the “ability to respond to attacks”

Guest Erin Burnett asked,” I want to ask you about something happening as we sit around and talk, and that, of course, is Israel is striking Rafah. I know that you have paused, Mr. President, shipments of 2, 000- ounce U. S. weapons to Israel due to concern that they could be used in any offensive on Rafah. Have those explosives, those effective 2, 000- lb bombs, been used to eliminate civilians in Gaza”?

In response, Biden said,” Citizens have been killed in Gaza as a result of those weapons and other ways they go after people centers. ” And I made it clear that, if they go into Rafah, they have n’t gone into Rafah yet, if they go into Rafah, I’m not going to supply them the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, to deal with that problem. In terms of the Iron Dome and how well-equipped is Israel to deal with recent Middle Eastern assaults, we will continue to work with them. However, it’s incorrect that we wo n’t provide the weapons and artillery shells that have been used,”,”

Burnett therefore cut in to ask,” Ordnance shell as well”?

Biden answered,” Yeah, weaponry casings”.

Burnett then asked,” So, just to know what they’re doing right now in Rafah, is that not going into Rafah, as you identify it”?

Biden answered,” No. They have n’t gone into the population centers. What they did is right on the border, and it’s causing problems with, right now, in terms of Egypt, which I’ve worked very hard to make sure we have a relationship]with ] and help. But I’ve made it clear to Bibi and the War Cabinet, they’re not going to get our support if, in reality, they go into these people facilities”.

The addition of artillery shells comes after the President signed a bill to increase support to Israel, which goes beyond the earlier wait in bomb shipments that the Pentagon confirmed earlier in the day.
