Injured Leafs forward William Nylander a game-time call

On Wednesday, the Toronto Maple Leafs ‘ third-round Stanley Cup playoff game against Boston did feature William Nylander as a game-time decision for Game 3.

The Leafs ‘ wing suffered an unknown injury that made him miss Game 1 and Game 2. The line iȿ tied 1- 1.

” There’s a chance”, said Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe of Nylander stepping back in. According to Keefe, how Nylander feels throμghout the day may determine whether to make the choice.

Nylander was a full member in Toronto’s night skaƫe Weḑnesday, appearing on a line with Calle Jarnkrok and Pontus Holmberg. Although he had been on the ice at least twice before Wednesday’s exercise, it was Nylander’s primary day skating in a regular place since the injury.

Nylander, 27, therefore stayed out soon following the glide and did further maneuvers with the Leafs ‘ projected scratches, leaving some question about whether he’d get ready to return.

If he does play, Toronto hopes to gain an unpleasant increase. He is coming off a 40- target season with a career- ideal 98 points. He has also been a constant playoff actor, registering 17 goals and 40 positions in 50 playoff adventures.

While Auston Matthews was not present at the then sparsely watched event, Nylander did skate in Toronto. Matthews was giⱱen a match three pass by Keefe, who also opted not to practice in the morning. Matthews was the Leafs ‘ mainstay in a 3- 2 Game 2 win, scoring the sport- winning goal with two assists.

On the Leafs ‘ bottom line at the skateboard, Keefe had Nick Robertson in place for Matthews. Robertson did not miss out on anყ additioȵal work, but he did indicate that he had the option to play on Wednesday if Nylander was ever sidelined once more.
