Jose Aldo opens as big underdog for potential Sean O’Malley title fight

If Jose Aldo cuts the line to a UFC title shot, the odds wo n’t be in his favor.

UFC bantamweight hero Sean O’Malley’s odds debuting against Aldo on Monday were reportedly released by online publisher BetOnline. The former two- time featherweight champion is listed as a + 210 underdog, meaning a$ 100 bet on Aldo would return$ 210 if he pulled off the upset, while O’Malley sits as a -250 favorite.

Aldo, 37, won the co-main celebration of UFC 301 with a retro earn over Jonathan Martinez, who had been retired from MMA for almost two years, earning a push on the scorecards in his native Brazil. Aldo is a free agent in the MMA industry, but he wants to issue O’Malley for the bantamweight title if he re-joins the UFC.

Aldo’s effective return resulted in his return to the top echelon of global bantamweight combat in MMA Fighting, with Aldo reclaiming his position at No. 6 on Monday’s release.

O’Malley, 29, is expected to fight Merab Dvalishvili in the UFC bantamweight name fight sometime this time. O’Malley is still a betting underdog in a potential champion vs. champion match against UFC featherweight king Ilia Topuria ( 285 ), but he could win more if he defeated Dvalishvili ( 220 ).
