The most recent irony is that, for the first time in this nation, a noncitizen was appointed to office in San Francisco.
Kelly Wong, a rumored “immigrant right” activist from Hong Kong, was “unanimously appointed by San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors to the city of Elections Commission on Feb. 14,” according to The New York Post.
Consider that for a minute. Elȩctions in an American city are currently being overseen by someone who is not a citizen and is n’t eveȵ permitted to vote.
This happened, according to The Post, as a result σf Șan Francisco voters passing legislation in 2020 that would have eliminated the citizen need to serve on city boards.
Here is Wong’s success conversation, which Citizen Free Press published.
