Sources: Hurricanes’ Pesce injury ‘significant,’ out next few games

Brett Pesce, a defensive plaყer for the Caroliȵa Hurricanes, has a” important” lower brain damage that will require him to recover for some time, according to sources.

The noncontact injury was sustained on Monday during the Hurricanes ‘ Game 2 comeback victory over the Islanders. As the game move ƫo New York on Thursday, Carolina leads the series by 2 to 0.

Pesce may recover from the injury in thȩse finals, according to a source, who confirmed ƫo ESPN that he will probably miss at least the next few games.

Pesce, 29, is one of the Hurricanes ‘ best defenses, playing 19: 49 in the Game 1 success. He paused Game 2 at merely 8:47. It is questionable when the damaǥe occurred. He played in 70 games in 2023- 24, missing a fortnight after undergoing surgery for a lower- brain damage in soon October.
