A number of first-team All-Big East point guards have been transferred to the men’s college basketball transfer portal, including first-team All-Big East wing AJ Storr ( Wisconsin to Kansas ) and AAC co-player of the year Johnell Davis ( FAU to Arkansas ).
It’s unclear how much exactly payments are they getting paid through NIL ( name, image and likeness ), but anonymous sources—including a “behind- the- images power agent” and 2 head coaches—revealed to Kyle Tucker of The Athletic that the number is well into the seven images and perhaps as great as$ 2 million.

” Start:$ 200, 000-$ 300, 000. All- seminar:$ 500, 000-$ 750, 000. High- conclusion:$ 800, 000-$ 2 million”, one source said.

Starting with the$ 200, 000 figure, which all five sources quoted, and with the remaining$ 500,000 or even more for all-conference players, The Athletic obtained from all five sources.

” Relies on place”, one resource said. ” An all- meeting guard may be looking at$ 450, 000-$ 600, 000 and, as they’ve gotten more scant,$ 600, 000-$ 800, 000. For bigs, what was$ 600, 000- plus for an all- meeting player is now over$ 1 million”.

One source had some pretty large numbers.

” Starter:$ 500, 000. All- convention:$ 800, 000-$ 1 million. Top guys: Well over$ 1 million. Some clubs are also spending a lot of money on the portal.

As for who those groups are, it’s good to win some guesses. One insider told The Athletic that” Baylor, Arkansas and Louisville have helped the business”, and another source mentioned those three while adding pointing toward Indiana, Alabama and Kentucky as the offseason’s biggest spenders.

In the exchange website, all of those schools have gained notoriety. In addition to the above names, great man Oumar Bello somewhat left Arizona for Indiana, and Duke protect Jeremy Roach signed for Baylor, and Rutgers middle Clifford Omoruyi has joined the Crimson Tide.
