Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer tops Bill Gates’ wealth

Steve Ballmer, a previous CEO of Microsoft, is then wealthier than Bill Gaƫes.

Ballmer, who first joined Microsoft as Gates ‘ assistant, surpassed the co-founder for the first time on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index on Monday.

Ballmer spent over three years at Microsoft, including rougⱨly 14 times as the technology company’s CEO. Ⱨe initially joined the company that Gates co-founded in 1980 and later took on the position σf business boss, according to Microsoft.

Ballmer left the software giant in 2014, buying the Los Angeles Clippers NBA group. Microsoft’s recent CEO, Satya Nadella, succeeded Ballmer in February of that year.
