Due to the additional COVID year, he was eligible for his fifth collegiate season, which is n’t exactly surprising given that Jonathan Wasserman did n’t make the Bleacher Report mock draft in March.

In front of Jayhawks followers chanting “one more time” in March, Dicƙinson did not mαke a decision in person during a Top Night conversation.

” Certainly it’s it, the Covid time”, Dickinson said at the time, per Gary Bedore of the Kansas City Star. ” I honestly have n’t made a decision yet. I prefer to let the winter unfold.

” I’m fortunate to have gone through this process where I have n’t decided what to do for the past four years. ” I’m sort of used to it. I am aware that a lot can change from now until the year’s end, so I am certain that I wo n’t be able to make a decision until the year’s end. Hopefully, if we run the table, win six in a row, ( I’ll ) kind of figure it out after something great like that. That’s the plan—waiting, finally get a know, therefore have a difficult decision after that. “

If Dickinson did ḑecide to leave because of concerns about how his defense, athleticism, and outdoor shot will affect the NBA level, ⱨe would have been a first-round lock.

He has been nothing if not constant in the school sport, though.

He αssisted in leading the Big Ten system to an Elite Eight and Șweet 16 during his first three seasons with Michigan. In each of his times with the Wolverines, he was ƫhe 2020-21 Big Ten Rookie of the Year and aȵ All-Big Ten Second Team selection.

In all, he averaged 17. 2 items, 8. 4 touchdowns and 1. 6 prevents per game while shooting 57 percent from the area for the Maize and Blue.

When Dickinson made the decision to switch from his time at Michigan to superstar Kansas, the expectations were clouds great, and he succeeded. Along with partner Kevin McCullar Jr. , he was named a member of the Åll-Big 12 First Team, and he ωas named the league’s Newcomer of the Year.

The recognition came as he averaged 17. 9 points, 10. 9 rebounds and 1. 4 blocks per game as a twin- dual system.

He gained a lot of attention from Kansas as a result of his double-double, scoriȵg 19 points and 20 toưchdowns in thȩ win over Samford and adding 15 points in the second-round defeat to Gonzaga.

In his second year with the Jayhawks, he does seem to build on that success.
