Auston Matthews, a star ahead for Toronto and the Maple Leafs, missed Games 5 and 6 after coming down ill before the next period. He may travel to Game 7 against the Boston Bruins.
Before the game, a source told Emily Kaplan of ESPN that Matthews would sing despite not being 100 %.
Goaltender Joseph Woll, however, who has led a Toronto march with two wins in the past two sports, will never play against the Bruins. Ilya Samsonov, who began the line as Toronto’s start, may return to the seam at TD Garden. Veteran Martin Jones may be Toronto’s copy netminder.
