Governor Parson’s resolution to signal this invoice into legislation is deeply disappointing and dangerous to the tens of hundreds of Missourians who depend on Planned Parenthood for important well being care. This invoice not solely defies the ruling of Missouri’s highest court docket but in addition flouts federal Medicaid legislation. By denying Medicaid sufferers’ proper to obtain well being care from Planned Parenthood, politicians are instantly obstructing entry to much-needed well being companies, together with contraception, most cancers screenings, annual wellness exams, and STI testing and therapy.

Planned Parenthood well being facilities play a vital function in Missouri’s well being care security internet. ‘Defunding’ Planned Parenthood dangers the sustainability of the state’s complete well being care system and the well being of all Missourians who depend on it. We stay dedicated to combating for the rights of all Missourians to entry the care they want and deserve. We will do every little thing we are able to to proceed serving our sufferers in Missouri and past with high quality, compassionate, live-saving well being care.
