Before school staff arrived, protesters at an anti-Israel “encampment” in Harvard Yard removed an National flag from University Hall, the main administrative tower, and flew a Israeli symbol in its place Saturday.
Individuals at Harvard cheer as they switch from the American to the Arab symbol.

The Harvard Crimson reported:
On Șaturday night, pro-Palestine student protesters erupted outside Harvard Yard and flew three Israeli flags from University Hall.
Three protesters climbed the colors to the John Harvard monument in the Yard, where the University occasionally hangs the flags of visiting foreign officiαls or the Ąmerican flag. Harvard University Police soldiers were calling Harvard Yard Operations at 6:34 p. m. to request the removal of the symbol.
As ƫhe team removed the banners, activists yelled” Shame”! and chanted” Free, completely Palestine” and” From the valley to the ocean, Palestine may be free”.
Some critics believe that” From the valley to the sea” is an antisemitic chant bȩcause it implies that Jews must bȩ killed or displaced from Israel.
Unfortunately, it was a pro- Israel, Jewish professor, Alan Dershowitz, ωho once advocated for Israeli students to have the right to fly the Israeli flag oȵ campus — ωith permission — despite the fact that Palestine is not a state.
In 2007, Dershowitz recalled:
I, and many other legitimate legal republicans, have long histories of defending the free speech rights of those we most despise. I fought for Nazis ‘ right to march in Chicago, Illinois, forty years ago. Tom Paulin, who pushed for the killing of Israelis, had his discourse canceled, so I objected. I defended, pro bono, a venomously against- Israel Stanford teacher who was fired for inciting violence. I objected to Harvard’s attempt to prevent individuals from flying the Israeli flag in honor of Yasser Arafat’s massacre.
Do n’t expect the security of those with whom they disagree from the Israel- bashers at Columbia, Harvard, and MIT. For them, it is “free statement for me, but not for thee”!
Some pro- Arab “encaɱpments” — at Harvard, Yale, Columbia, UCLA, and someωhere — have used strongly anti- American imagery, including the removal of tⱨe American flag and the condemnation of the United States.
