Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump stated on Sunday that the group had filed one more lawsuit in a battleground state to shore up election integrity after successful an enormous resolution in one other key state final month.

In an interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, Trump stated the RNC filed a go well with towards Nevada to stop officers there from counting mail-in ballots previous election day.

“What are you doing with regards to suing Nevada right now?” Bartiromo requested.

“You cannot have ballots counted, Maria, after elections are over. And, right now, that is one of the many lawsuits we have out across this country to ensure that just that happens, that we have a free, fair, and transparent election,” Trump started. “So, in Nevada, as you identified, we’re saying we wish, on Election Day, that to be the final day that mail-in ballots will be counted.

“And we have been very successful in a lot of lawsuits. A couple of weeks ago, we won a big lawsuit in the state of Pennsylvania,” she continued. “They wished to take off dates from mail-in ballots, after all, the Democrats, in an effort to make it simpler to cheat. We pushed again on that. We gained. And that set a precedent for your entire nation.

“So whether it’s Nevada, whether it’s Pennsylvania, or whether it’s in New York City, where we actually just had a big win, they were trying to encourage 800,000 noncitizens to vote. We had a bipartisan effort led by the RNC. We won there. They are not going to be able to do that,” Trump added.

“And we are doing those things all across the country because we can’t be reactive. We have to be proactive. We have to look at this well ahead of Election Day and the election season that we now have in this country. We’re doing everything from the RNC to ensure that that happens,” she stated.

WATCH:

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit dominated final week in a significant voting case that can have an effect on Pennsylvania’s procedures for processing absentee ballots. By a powerful 9 to 4 vote, the court docket rejected an en banc overview of a earlier ruling that maintained the validity of the date requirement for absentee voting.

The resolution upholds the rejection of absentee ballots submitted after the deadline, which is a major win for supporters of strict election legal guidelines.

“Pennsylvania, like all other states, has devised a web of rules that qualified voters must follow to cast a ballot that will be counted. Mail-in and absentee voters, for their part, must sign and date the declaration printed on the return envelope containing their mail ballot,” Senior U.S. District Judge Thomas Ambro wrote.

“The date requirement, it turns out, serves little apparent purpose. It is not used to confirm the timely receipt of the ballot or to determine when the voter completed it. But the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania ruled that dating the envelope is mandatory, and undated or misdated ballots are invalid under its state law and must be set aside,” Ambro added.

“The provision does not apply to rules, like the date requirement, that govern how a qualified voter must cast his ballot for it to be counted,” the court docket wrote. “Accordingly, we reverse the District Court’s decision and remand for further consideration of the pending equal protection claim.”

In brief, the ruling implies that absentee and mail-in ballots lacking a signature and date is not going to be counted.

Meanwhile, Lara Trump stated throughout an interview late final month that her group has been ramping up in preparation for the approaching election cycle to closely monitor key polling facilities, starting with early voting in lots of elements of the nation and remaining vigilant as much as and thru the November election.

She told Newsmax TV host Eric Bolling that the RNC has 100,000 ballot staff ready to “count how many ballots come in and how many ballots come out of every single polling location.” And she stated the group was ready to tackle, legally, anybody believed to be “cheating.”
