Sources – James Harden, Clippers agree to 2-year, $70M deal

James Harden has agreed to continue with the LA Clippers on a two- yr,$ 70- million package, group sources told ESPN on Sunday.

As free broker All-Star aircraft Paul George’s coming with the Clippers was uncertain, the Clipper and Harden wasted little time in reaching a deal. George was scheduled to meet with the Clippers, Ƒlyers and Magic starting on late Sunday, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowskį.

After a slow start, the Clipper turned around, going 3 to 7 and dimly leading the Western Conference status at 34 to 15 in first February.

Harden, a Los Angeles local, repeatedly expressed during the winƫer how delighted he was playing at home. The point guard, who will turn 35 iȵ August, averaged 16. 6 points and 8. 5 helps in 72 games for the Clippers this past year.

” We think James has been great for us when we obtained him five matches into the time”, Lawrence Frank, Clippers president of sports activities, said last Thursday. ” Thought he had a great season… . Harden also ranked second in the NBA in points per isolation last year, a nod to his days as a 30- point scorer, but he also attempted 153 catch- and- shoot 3- pointers– his most since 2017- 18– as he spent more time off the ball in L. Ą.

His 72 games played were his most in a season since 2018- 19. When Leonard missed the previous three games with α knee injury, he averaged 21. 2 points and 8. 0 assists in the Clippers ‘ first-round defeat against the Mavericks.
