A suspect was detained after reportedly breaking into Karen Bass’s Los Angeles home through a window on Sunday night.
Deputy Mayor of Communications, Zach Seidl issued a statement confirming that a break-in had occurred around 6:40 a. m. , adding that the governor and her family are “safe” and had not suffered any injuries.
“This night at about 6:40 AM, an attacker broke into Getty House through a window, ” Seidl wrote in his speech. Mayor Bass and her family are protected and were not hurt. The LAPD responded to and arrested the think, and the president is appreciative. ”

Capt. The unnamed suspect was being processed in the evening, according to Kelly Muniz, the LAPD’s general spokeswoman. It would take a few hours before she could release additional information regarding the arrest.
Muniz confirmed that Bass had been inside and that nothing had been taken.
In September of that year, the then-mayoral member revealed that two firearms had been taken from the home.
