Three IDF Soldiers Killed by Hamas Rockets Fired at Border Crossing

After Hamas fired a barrage of rockets from the city of Rafah toward the Kerem Shalom border, which serves as an entry point for humanitarian aid into Gaza, three Israeli Defense Forces ( IDF) soldiers died.

Hamas, a U. S. designated Islamic terror group claimed responsibility for firing 14 missiles on Sunday, which not only left three Israeli military dead, but at least 10 people injured, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba said 10 people who had been injured from the harm came to the doctor, with three in critical condition, two who were in reasonable condition, and five who had experienced light injuries.

Staff Sgt. was used to identify the military. Ruben Marc Mordechai Assouline, 19, and Staff Sgt. Ido Testa, 19, and Staff Sgt. Tal Shavit, 21. Shavit served in the 931st Infantry Battalion with the 933rd Nahal Brigade, while Assouline and Testa served in the 424th Infantry Battalion of the 84th Givati Brigade.

In response to the attack the IDF issued a speech:

Around 10 projectiles were fired from the Rafah Crossing toward Kerem Shalom earlier today ( Sunday ). The app, where the weapons were fired, was struck soon after by IAF fighter jets. In addition, IAF fighter jets struck a military architecture located in the area of the rocket. The Hamas ‘ attacks on civilian homes close to the Rafah Crossing, which is located about 350 meters away from human shelters, are an excellent illustration of how the criminal organization has been systematically abused and continues to use the Gazan civilian people as human shields.

After President Joe Biden and his administration repeatedly urged Israel to restart the Kerem Shalom border crossing, it was reopened so that humanitarian assistance could reach Gazans.

In a previous fight with Israel, Hamas attacked the cross in 2021, putting a risk on the movement of humanitarian assistance to Gaza Strip residents.

Israel’s primary entry point, which is Gaza’s main port of entry, was closed in response to Hamas ‘ strike.
