The 6’11”, 240- pound great man developed into one of the best centers in Rutgers history, starting every activity in each of the last three seasons. In terms of job rebounds and field goals, he ranks third in the program’s history, and he has a sixth-best block count.
In his profession, Omoruyi helped the Scarlet Knights win two NCAA titles. The team won its second tournament title in 38 years and earned its first event seat there in 30 years.
Omoruyi will play for the Alabama group that defeated them 25-12 earlier this year to advance to the NCAA Tournament Final Four. However, the Crimson Tide fell to UConn 86- 72, and the Huskies went on to defeat Oxford and win their second immediately national title.
Alabama will undoubtedly be looking for a tournament in 2024-25, and adding Omoruyi will give them a defensive outlet who will help them advance.
