Darius Morris, the former star of the Michigan and Los Angeles Lakers review, passed away at the age of 33, his family announced on Saturday.
No cause of death was given. Morris ‘ body was discovered on Thursday in the Los Angeles area, according to TMZ. He was a Los Angeles local.
” With great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly beloved son, Darius Aaron Morris”, Morris ‘ family told TMZ on Saturday. His family requests that you kindly adhere to their wishes for protection and joy during this transition.
Morris was a subsequent- round pick of the Lakers in the 2011 review. He averaged 3. 3 points in 132 career games ( 17 starts ) with the Lakers and four other teams in four NBA seasons. He went on to play properly in China and France, previous playing in 2019- 20.
The Lakers said in a blog to X they were “heartbroken by the passing” of Morris.
