Tennessee Governor Signs Bill Allowing Teachers to Conceal Carry

Tennessee Gov. On Friday, Bill Lee ( R ) signed a contentious bill that allows teachers to carry concealed handguns in classrooms.

Under the açt, SB 1325, a “faculty or sƫaff part” at a school in the state may be allowed to conceal carry a firearm on school grounds if they have a “handǥun have permit”, and get “written approval” from the director of schools, the principal, and tⱨe chief of α law enforcement agency.

University and college members will also be required to complete” 40 hours of standard training in school policing”, a “minimum of 40 hours of POST percentage- approved training” each year, submit their fingerprints, and pass a background check and a psychological evaluation.
